We’ve all stayed up late working. Trying to get an important presentation finished. A proposal out of the door. A software build shipped. And we’ve all paid the consequence the next day. Groggy. Slow. It’s a basic human truth. Our bodies need sleep.

We often hear about the heroic sleep patterns of top leaders and executives. Winston Churchill slept 5 hours per night. Elon Musk and Richard Branson sleep 6 hours per night.

As sleep science progresses, we’re learning that not everyone needs 8 hours sleep per night. And more recent research suggests that persistent bad sleep habits can lead to long term health problems like cancer and diabetes.
